Never really thought about it. Probably because I'm such a subgenre jumper.
Who gave the best performance? As in, in one film- the first actor who comes to mind is E.G. Marshall from Creepshow. But, favorite? I don't know. I think I have more in common with Leslie Nielson's character (same movie, of course).
Favorite character? I think, bar none, it has to be Jason Voorhees. Who played my favorite Jason of the franchise? Kinda torn. Either Richard Brooker from Part III or Kane Hodder, especially from Part VII (though the makeup might have something to do with that).
Favorite crush? Cut off my arm, why don't you? For sweetness, William Ragsdale (Fright Night). For boy next door hotness, Ralph Seymour (Just Before Dawn). For brutal hotness (and because I can't make a list like this without at least 1 Canadian), Nicholas Campbell (The Dead Zone). Hottest couple? Matthew Labyorteaux and Michael Sharrett (Deadly Friend). Favorite hot "Daddy": Ian Patrick Williams (Dolls) (I thought he was hot). Hottest foreign guy: Urbano Barberini (Demons). Hottest jerk: John Bedford Lloyd (C.H.U.D. - he was the character following Daniel Stern). Hottest guy, PERIOD? Tie: Rick Hearst (Brain Damage) - the body of a jock, the face of an angel, the demeanor of a nerd; ould be there a more perfect package(?) - and Andras Jones (Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama, Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master)
Who was just plain cool? Tom Atkins (The Fog, Halloween III: Season of the Witch) for many people was the Sean Connery of 80's horror. Just plain boss. And for the most part, I think I agree. For someone younger... Bruce Campbell was the Tom Cruise of 80's horror, Andras Jones was "Zack Morris," and Robert Rusler was Steve McQueen. Out of those 3, Rusler was cooler but I felt Jones was more versatile. I also want to give a mention to Peter Ferry and Michael Grossi from The Dead Next Door. I always thought they handled crisis remarkably well, including being a zombie.
